Guidance at SAJC: Supporting a Student’s Next Step

Sri Amogha Junior College · Updated 31 October 2026

Intermediate brings new subjects, entrance choices and greater responsibility. At Sri Amogha Junior College, students can approach the team for career guidance and personal well-being conversations when they need help finding their next step.

Our approach connects academic progress with opportunities to understand yourself, take responsibility and learn about the wider world. Career readiness and life readiness both have a place in the SAJC experience.

Career conversations begin with the student

A useful conversation starts with interests, experiences and questions. Students can ask about subject choices, possible degrees and the requirements behind a course that interests them.

Our team helps families compare options and identify what to investigate next. Guidance is available across MPC, BiPC, MEC and CEC. Students already at SAJC can also seek help as their plans develop.

Ask for help when learning becomes difficult

A student may understand a lesson but struggle to apply it in a test. Another may need help with a concept or with organising revision. Explaining the difficulty gives the teacher a more useful starting point than a mark alone.

Bring a recent paper, the topic and an example of where you got stuck. Ask what to practise next and how to review the work. Families can discuss academic progress with the college team and use the parent and student login links to access the services available to them.

Make room for well-being

SAJC offers Art of Living’s Medha Yoga Level 1 to all students as part of its well-being activities. Students can also approach the college team with personal concerns when support is needed.

A parent and student can discuss the daily routine together: travel, study, rest, meals at home and time to recover for the next day. During a campus visit, ask how the college day works for the programme you are considering. Explore life at SAJC to understand the wider experience.

Learn through responsibility and experience

Student-led events give students opportunities to plan, work with others and follow through on a decision. SAJC’s student council, Sports Day and Fun Fest are examples of the college’s wider student experience.

Educational visits help students connect classroom learning with workplaces and public institutions. Reading, discussions and the Times of India subscription give students further ways to follow the world around them. Ask the team about current activities and opportunities to participate.

Parents have a part in the conversation

Ask your child what they are enjoying, where they need help and what they would like to explore. Share useful concerns with the college team so the discussion includes the student’s experience as well as the family’s expectations.

When considering a future course, check the official subject and admission requirements together. Examples of career routes help explain possibilities; the list can grow as the student discovers new interests.

Visit, ask and explore

Students visiting SAJC with a parent can arrange a free career test and career counselling. Meet the team, see the college and discuss subjects, entrance preparation and the daily routine.
